Individual & Team Scoring
Individuals
Student-athletes will be divided into the following four divisions:
- Male Undergraduate
- Female Undergraduate
- Male Graduate
- Female Graduate
The top five finishers in each division will be recognized with individual awards.
Teams
Schools competing in the Team competition will be divided into the following two divisions:
- Men’s Team (minimum of three men)
- Women’s Team (minimum of three women)
The top five teams in each division will be recognized with a team award.
For scoring purposes, student-athletes will receive a score identical to their finish within the overall Collegiate division. For example, the first male and female finishers will each receive one point. The scores of the first three finishers from each team will be added together to determine the team score. The lowest team score wins.
Although the 4th–6th place finishers from each team will not count toward the overall team score, they will act as placeholders, thereby pushing other teams’ scoring athletes down in the rankings.
Student-athletes who are not part of a team will not be assigned a score and will not be counted when determining team scores. All team members will be included in the individual results and will be eligible for individual awards.
